Check this out!

Apparently, Jenn's idea of the bound portfolio is becoming a new trend in the art world. Read about what supervisors and art professors had to say about having a bound portfolio. It's slightly dated but it's still worth the look.

The Portfolio Matures

Apparently, Gap is becoming retro. I haven't been in a mall in a few weeks so I haven't seen this yet but apparently they are putting Andy Warhol artwork into the windows. That's Gap for ya, making vintage good.

Almost makes me want to buy something from the company. Almost.

I thought this was a really cool way to put graphic design into the environment. This is something that I'm doing for my independent study project. Whenever I find this kind of stuff I think it's so cool. I recently saw one that someone did with Post-its for Nintendo Game characters. Imagine how much time it takes to make these.

ooh i like warhol i'll have to go to the mall to check it out.

i dislike it when clothing styles, music, magazines i like become popular. sure it's easier to find stuff that i like however then everyone starts liking what i like....okay that made no sense, i just like being different.

Thanks for sharing the post-it note art. I've never seen that before, and it's pretty impressive to think about how time-consuming the process must be. Good find with the Gap ads, too. While I'm not a big Gap fan, I think they have always had good ad campaigns.

The Gap has always had a very creative corporate image -from their khaki pants dance performances on TV to this new Andy Warhol-ish campaign. I've liked their ad campaigns for a long time, and this one is one that I'll definitely check out at the mall this weekend!
